Ronald Harris, OD, FAAO
Dr. Harris received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California School of Optometry in 1968 and was a part time clinical instructor for many years. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association, as well as its affiliate organizations.
Following his graduation, he spent an academic year in India at the Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmic Sciences. He is certified in treatment and management of ocular diseases, including dry eye, macular degeneration and glaucoma.
Dr. Harris has been active in many community activities and service clubs over the years and has donated his services to free vision clinics.
Eliot Kaplan, OD
Dr. Eliot Kaplan, Developmental Optometrist, is a 1978 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. He joined Sonoma Eye Care Associates in 2008. He continues to practice in Mill Valley, where he has been established since 1993. Dr. Kaplan has receiving extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of “binocular vision” and “visual information processing “problems. He provides “optometric vision therapy” programs for both adults and children.
Dr. Kaplan is active in the community, providing vision education for teachers and parents, while offering “vision screenings” for local schools and summer camps. Dr. Kaplan works closely with health care professionals and learning specialists who are dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities. He is an associate of the Optometric Extension Program (O.E.P.) and College of Optometrists in Vision Development (C.O.V.D.). Both are national organizations which provide continuing education for developmental optometrists.
